This
week has been crazy, but so much fun! We were on lock down on Mardi
Gras because of how cold it was (if there is ice anywhere the entire
mission gets put on lock down). Which wasn't new to me we just did what I
use to do before we would do things with the elders on preparation day.
That night we were able to see one of the less active families that we
pretty much took from the elders because the wife is home more often
then the husband. Well they have their great niece living with them and
she's never said a word while we have been there. Well this time she was
talking up a storm about going to the parade that day, getting beads,
and then about how they had to get a new tire. Later in the week we
taught one of our investigators that doesn't live that far from us. Well
she's been having guy problems and we started teaching her that trials
aren't a punishment always but there is always something that we can
learn. Well we were able to see her two other times this last week and
she's doing better. She is still not her old self but I think the things
that she's gone through and us telling her that God knows what is up
and that He's trying to help her through will be the thing that she
needs to help her come to church and possibly even get baptized.
Saturday was crazy because we had district meeting and the elder's
baptism, that we were put in charge of making the program for, which is
perfectly fine with us if they get us all the information we need on
time.
Oh yesterday was awesome to because the bishop and his wife
invited just us over for dinner, which has never happened. It is usually
us and the elders. It was so much fun because we taught them how the
gospel blesses families and that in order for it to happen that we all
have to strive to create an atmosphere where the Spirit can dwell.
Well besides that things have been good. It is warming up and the sun is shining more!
Well y'all I love you and hope you have an awesome week that you be sure to tell me about.
Sister Brady
