This
past week even though it was slow it involved quite a bit of love. We
have one less active lady in the ward who is less active because she
can't drive and has quite a few health problems that make going to
church difficult. Well, Saturday we had this big day planned out and
where we were going to find a bunch of less actives that we had just
found on the roster along with lunch at the bishop's house. Well
everything fell through except lunch at the bishops. We had no idea what
we were going to do for the rest of the day. Well while we were at the
gas station the less active member I told you about called us. She was
sick and needed help cleaning her trailer so that way her roommate
wouldn't have to do it when she got home early the next morning. So
being the loving people that we are we went and helped her do her dishes
and vacuum. From that experience I realized just how much the
missionaries mean to a lot of the members down here. They know that we
will be there to help them bring the Spirit into their homes and help
them draw closer to Christ. Which made me realize just how hard it would
be to be a missionary in Utah, because a lot of people think that
everyone is a member and that they are good. Let me tell you the truth
it is because they are afraid to help in God's work because they don't
realize just how much joy comes from being apart of the work. The
missionaries are trying to find people to fellowship, someone who will
just click with their investigator but how will the missionaries be able
to do that if they don't know you? Let me tell you they can't, you
might be the right person to help them but they would never know because
they don't know you.
Anyways the work is still moving slowly down here, we just need to get the ward pumped on doing missionary work and helping us.
Remember that the greatest joy you will ever had will come from helping others draw closer to Christ.
Love y'all so much,
Sister Brady
