So this week was as crazy! We spent all day Wednesday in Baton Rouge
and New Orleans, Friday we were in Metairie and New Orleans, and then
Saturday we were in West Bank.....all for meetings. But I wouldn't
change it for the world. It was really hard in our meeting on
Wednesday because it was our last leadership meeting with President
Wall before he goes home. How he decided to end that meeting was
really cool. We did a scripture study and so each of us in that
meeting shared a scripture that meant a lot to us and why. It was
super powerful. Well after the meeting was done some of us
missionaries had President Wall sign our copies of the Book of Mormon.
I know that is one thing that I am going to cherish for the rest of my
life. President and Sister Wall mean so much to me because they have
done so much for me. They have helped me in ways that y'all couldn't
because you aren't here to experience the things that I have gone
through with me. They are so awesome. You should hunt them down when
they get home, because they are truly that awesome.
So something that I want to share with you that I read about today
while reading President Monson's talk Love-the Essence of the Gospel.
One thing that it talks about is how we need to be careful not shoot
down someones confidence by what we say and do. It's the thought we
need to bring each other up not shoot us down. I realized though the
times that we think that someone is being too sensitive, that is when
pride is growing within us. We start thinking that we are higher then
another and what others think doesn't. I have thought a lot about Matt
25:41, when we say harsh things or shoot someones confidence down, we
are shooting Christ down. Which in doing so takes us further away from
the Lord and being the type of person we need to be in entering God's
kingdom. In a talk yesterday a guy related being clean to walking into
the house with muddy feet. When we enter God's kingdom we won't be
able to walk through. It was really cool.
Well those are my thoughts and insights for this week.
Love y'all and hope you have an awesome week.
Love
Sister Brady
